we use 65Mn steel as knife section material. its extention, wear resistance and price is very good. and suitable to agricultural using. after splash-fire, hardness HRC45-55 will be the best condition. if it's higher than HRC55, then it will be brittle and broken easily; if it's lower than HRC45, then the teeth will be bended easily.
